Union Flags have been fixed without permission to lampposts in various streets.
The lampposts are Suffolk County Council property. We have contacted our Suffolk County Councillors, but we are aware that the County Council has said previously that it will only remove the flags as part of regular maintenance.
Beccles Town Council will authorise its contractors to take down flags that interfere with its own permitted use of lampposts, such as for the installing of Christmas lights.
