Council Crest Watermark

The Beccles Fenland Charity Trust

The Beccles Fenland Charity Trust manages lands granted to the town by Queen Elizabeth I in 1584. The Town Council serves as the Trust’s trustee, with council staff handling the operations of both entities.

The Trust oversees:

Beccles Quay (including Quay field, play park, car park, and public toilets), Beccles Common (including car park), Beccles Marshes (including Marsh Trail) and The Avenue (leading to the Common from the station).

This area extends from Goose Green, across the common and bypass, to the river, encompassing the common, marshes, Beccles Quay.
