Beccles Fenland Charity Trust owns a number of allotment sites around the town, which together provide over 250 allotment plots available to residents. A map of allotment sites is below. To join the waiting list, please contact the Town Hall.

Plot sizes range from small to large, suitable for beginners, families, or experienced gardeners. The average plot size is 5 to 10 rods (125-250m²). The day to day running of the sites are carried out by the Beccles Allotments and Gardens Association (BAGA). Invoices are sent out by the Trust for the Allotment Rents annually, along with the Association fee.

Beccles Allotments and Gardens Association (BAGA) manages the day-to-day operations of the allotment sites. Allotment holders pay a £5 starting fee and an annual fee of £3. Site representatives are typically based on larger sites and serve on the Association Committee. The Secretary and Chairman handle the day-to-day work on behalf of the committee.
The association is committed to making allotment gardening accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, or experience. We collaborate with local organisations to achieve this goal, including Beccles Rugby Club, Beccles U3A, and Community Action Suffolk. We rely on local support and businesses to sustain our projects.
Their generosity exemplifies the true spirit of our community.
Please find further information on their website.
