I have lived in Beccles for most of my adult life. My children were educated in Beccles schools; and two of my grandchildren are currently at high school here. I love finding out about what has helped Beccles become the place it is and sharing what I learn. I would not live anywhere else!

I was elected to the Town Council in a by-election in 2021 as an independent and became mayor in 2022 and again in 2025. I aim to deal with each issue in a fair and open-minded way.

Having worked in education for many years, I am keen to support learning in all its forms and promote well-being. I also wish to champion the economic development of Beccles, including its businesses, and celebrate its heritage. Our natural environment is one of the great attractions of Beccles; and it needs to be preserved – and enhanced where practicable.

I am also keen to promote and recognise community service. Beccles has many wonderful volunteers.
