I have been a resident of Beccles for over 40 years and feel part of the fabric of life here. I know and love the town and wouldn’t wish to live anywhere else.

Married to Susan for 50 years. We have two grown up children and three grandchildren two of the grandchildren are in education at the Sir John Leman High School.

My working life, until retirement, was in the world of print. Mainly working at Clays in Bungay and finishing as a print buyer for Aviva.

In early retirement I was a prime mover in setting up and establishing Beccles U3A. The U3A is a self-help national organisation for the retired and semi-retired to enjoy leisure and social activities. Together with my wife Susan we were pleased to receive the Robert Ellwood Award ( Outstanding Service to the Community) in 2017 from Beccles Town Council in recognition of our involvement.

My interests include swimming, painting, listening to music, the outdoors and together with two of the grandchildren we support Norwich City Football Club as season ticket holders.

I will as a Town Councillor endeavour to add value and help make things happen for the benefit of the town and its community.

Beccles is a town which I am proud to call home.
